Hope Dunn is a native of Rappahannock County. She and her daughter, a student at Rappahannock County Elementary school, reside in Amissville. Hope attended Rappahannock County schools from Kindergarten to twelfth grade. She graduated from RCHS in 1995 and then moved to Fairfax, Virginia, to attend George Mason University where she graduated in 2000 with a BA in Art. After college she moved back to Rappahannock. She began her career at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, where she started to expand her desktop publishing and graphic artist skills. After 5 years at the National Press Club, she then took a job as a Senior Desktop Publisher/Graphic Artist with the healthcare services company Optum, where she is still employed. Over the years at Optum she has help raise money for the March of Dimes and overseen coat and Thanksgiving food drives. Hope has volunteered with 4-H and she also sits on the newly formed Equity Committee at Rappahannock County Schools. In her free time, Hope loves spending time with her daughter, family and close friends. She equally loves creating art, cooking, reading and embarking on new adventures.
